Engineering and New Programs Center of PZL-Świdnik SA, established in 1967, is involved in designing, research and development of helicopters engineering. At the beginning, the main task of Engineering and New Programs Center was to fulfill PZL's own needs concerning development of helicopters under license (SM-1, SM-2 and Mi-2), then design and development of PZL's own helicopters (W-3A Sokol, Kania and SW-4).
The procedures followed while performing the tasks assigned to the Engineering and New Programs Center, being an integral part of PZL's Quality Assurance System, comply with ISO 9000 requirements.
Engineering and New Programs Center is subordinated directly to PZL's Board of Directors, however it is separate profit center and its activities are planned and administered independently. In general, the scope of work and services covers a full research and development cycle (or its individual elements) i.e. design, tests, research, manufacturing engineering and engineerning support of serial production of PZL-Świdnik.
